materials
hardware
All of my findings are lead and nickel free. Some of these items include titanium, gold/silver plated copper or brass, and aluminum. I am always looking for new and unusual hardware and jewelry findings. I can upgrade to finer materials/metals upon request.
leather
I predominantly use leather remnants. I work with a variety of different leathers including hard vegetable tanned leather and multicolored soft leathers as well. Most of my leathers are cowhide.
miscellaneous
I use waxed linen thread and elastic cord for clutches, notebook/book covers and wallets.
paint, varnish & glue
I use water based acrylic and textile paints. All of my paints, varnishes, and glues are nontoxic. I use AP certified supplies and those that conform to ASTM D 4236. I only use AP certified supplies for items made for children and for areas on jewelry that touch skin (as an added precaution). The type of paint or varnish that I use depends on the leather that I am working with.
